Que-NOMTOC

Que-NOMTOC

Every year for the past 36 years Gamma Rho Chapter has sponsored the Que-NOMTOC Community/Outreach Event. This annual event is held the Saturday before Mardi Gras Day (Fat Tuesday) along the NOMTOC Parade Route. The NOMTOC parade is a cultural event for the residents of Algiers, Louisiana and the West Bank of New Orleans collectively. The Chapter prepares and donates food (see menu below) to feed an average of 400 patrons who may gather along the parade route to enjoy the festivities.  Gamma Rho not only uses this opportunity to embrace the community, but also as a reclamation tool to invite Brothers to become financial and active again.  Also, the Chapter provides information on voter registration and safe sex awareness. Overall this event is enjoyed by the entire community, and Gamma Rho feels right at home serving in the heart of the community.

Menu: Red Beans and Rice; Bar-B-Que Chicken; Fried Fish; Fried and Char-grilled Oysters; Boiled Turkey Necks (including trimmings).
